Dove Energy has announced that development well drilling its Bayoot Field in Yemen Block 53 has re-commenced. A contract was signed with Al Hashedi Trading & Contracting for its YD-3 rig, and down-hole operations on the Bayoot-8 sidetrack well commenced on the 17th March 2012. 
 
As of 23rd April 2012 the well was drilling ahead at 4295 m BRT in the target reservoir section. The aim of this well is to increase Bayoot Field oil production by extending the reach from existing well Bayoot-8 into an un-drained area of the oil pool.
