Bayoot-9, spudded on 7th May 2010, was the fourth well to be planned with the benefit of the 3D seismic volume and was intended to appraise the western extent of the Bayoot Field fractured basement oil accumulation. The well, drilled to a TD of 3596.0m, was also drilled in what is currently regarded as the optimal direction for intersecting critically-stressed fractures and completed for production by 4th July.
